Rogue's Review:

Being Tom Ripleyvich

Caught this on cable last night and was thoroughly riveted from start to finish. John Malkovich, as everyone here has noted, is superb as Tom Ripley - his fey mannerisms (particularly the way he purses his lips after nearly every line of dialogue) are indecently effective, and Dougray Scott, Ray Winstone and everyone else in the cast are excellent as well. The story isn't completely satisfying but the performances make up for it.
