Rogue's Review:Ah'm yo' huckleberry
Short and sweet: Tombstone is one of my favorite movies of all time. What makes this film live and breathe as deeply as it does is Val Kilmer's Doc Holliday. This is truly one of the best marriages of an actor to his lines that I've ever experienced in a motion picture. Everything else in the film is excellent too, of course, especially the relationship between Doc and Wyatt (a superb Kurt Russell), but in the end it's Kilmer's Doc that stands towering above the fray. A classic characterization that will define his career. |
