Rogue's Review:Waiting for the sequel
If you're a fan of Atkinson's (as I am), you will probably love this film, (as I did). Contrary to what I've been reading, this is NOT a lame undertaking. "Johnny English" is tremendously entertaining, with bits I hadn't seen before in other spy spoof movies (a huge accomplishment in itself!), and Rowan, of course, is dazzlingly brilliant - AND brilliantly dazzling - in the title role. What more do you want? Ok, you get Malkovich too, as the not-so-sane Pascal Sauvage (that name alone would drive anyone off the deep end), plus Natalie Imbruglia isn't too hard to look at either. I hope there will be a sequel: "Johnny English II: Sauvage's Revenge" perhaps?
