Invasion of the Memory Snatchers

I'm going to try to do something that hasn't really been done regarding this movie -- I'm going to attempt to review it without adding any spoilers ( I realize my title line is a spoiler of sorts in itself, but I'm taking artistic license with that one).

The Forgotten is an extremely powerful movie at its core, with a supremely fierce performance from Julianne Moore, who gets better and better in every film she does. It's not a perfect movie, not masterful like the film people keep erroneously comparing it to, "The Sixth Sense", mainly because the script is rather clumsy and overly simplistic in a lot of places and the plot points are easy to see coming, but it managed to cast a hypnotic spell over me the entire time I was watching it, and it gave me goose bumps more than once. For an afternoon or evening at your local cineplex, you could do much worse.
