Rogue's Review:A film with a lot of heart (NO pun intended)
"Dirty Pretty Things" is a thoroughly original film, beautifully written and directed. I hadn't read any reviews prior to seeing it and I knew nothing about the subject matter, which made the subtle unfolding of the story far more surprising and powerful. The acting is subtle as well: Audrey Tautou creates a 3-dimensional, sympathetic character without ever becoming a victim, and Chiwetel Ejiofor is supremely effective in the central role. Watch for him.
