Rogue's Review:Robin Tunney & Tim Blake Nelson rock
If this had just been written with a little more finesse, it would have been a great film, but the exposition and resolution are vague and clumsy, rendering it merely good. What IS great are the two lead performances, by Robin Tunney (nice to see her in a starring role) and Tim Blake Nelson, who is a revelation here. What he does with this role is truly inspired. He's also a writer/director - he directed "O" and wrote/directed "Grey Areas" - and he's been in a lot of films that I've seen, but this one is a major breakthrough for him, in my esTIMation. Great soundtrack, too: this is the film that turned me on to Noe Venable, who I'm still crazy about.
