Brilliant and subversive - Mike White, you rule

This is The Real Thing, the kind of film you ponder long after the credits have rolled. Brilliantly written and performed, Chuck & Buck resonates in areas other screenwriters wouldn't even attempt to visit. Mike White avoids coyness in his plot by laying it all on the line early in the film, upping the ante bigtime. Alternating between quirky humor and gutwrenching human need, this film is a heartfelt gem that will not easily leave you. Just as satisfying on repeat viewings, as only a few rare movies are.
